This year I’m participating in the Maker Faire Hannover for the first time, it is held at the Congresszentrum Hannover on the 23rd of August- 24th of August from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

I will offer a copper smithing activity where you can make a fibulae (broche), hairpin, simple bracelet or ring. Participation is 1 euro (to cover material costs), but free for (children of) holders of Sozialpass. I will explain something about smithing techniques, the right hammer choice etc.

On one of the days I will also give a presentation on the experiments I did for my M.A. thesis in Archaeology on intentionally patinatined arsenical copper alloys from the Eastern Mediterranean Bronze Age in German (with English subtitles) on the Wissensforum. I will update with more precise information once I know a timeslot.

This is a small, cozy and alternative wedding fair showcasing the services of various businesses. You can come to my booth to meet me, I will showcase my jewellery.
